Everything You Need to Know Before Your Wedding Day Beauty
Achieving your perfect bridal look begins long before you sit in our chair. As your luxury beauty concierge, we've curated this expert guide to help you prepare your canvas for a flawless, lasting finish.
Skin Prep Timeline
8 Weeks Before
- Establish a consistent hydration routine (drinking water and daily moisturizer).
- Consult with an esthetician for professional facials if desired.
- Begin gentle exfoliation 1-2 times per week.
2 Weeks Before
- Avoid introducing any new skincare products or aggressive treatments.
- Maintain your established routine and focus on sun protection.
- Schedule any facial waxing or threading now to allow redness to subside.
Week Of
- Use gentle, familiar hydrating sheet masks.
- Prioritize sleep and increase your water intake.
- Avoid excessive sodium to reduce morning puffiness.
Day Before
- Do a very light, gentle exfoliation.
- Apply a rich, trusted moisturizer before bed.
- Avoid alcohol if possible to keep skin plump and hydrated.
Morning Of
- Cleanse face gently and arrive with a completely bare face.
- Avoid SPF or heavy day creams (we will prep your skin!).
- If extremely dry, a very light application of your daily moisturizer is okay.

Makeup Prep Guide
Skin Prep for Longevity
Makeup sits best on hydrated, smooth skin. Focus heavily on moisturizing in the weeks prior. Avoid harsh scrubs the week of the wedding, as micro-tears can cause makeup to look textured.
Trial Readiness
Bring photos of makeup styles you are drawn to (note the skin finish, eye style, and lip color). Inform us of any known allergies or specific products you absolutely love wearing.
Airbrush vs. Traditional
Airbrush offers a flawless, water-resistant, ultra-long-lasting finish ideal for emotional outdoor ceremonies. Traditional allows for highly customized, buildable coverage. We'll help you choose!

Trial Session Tips
Timing is Everything
We recommend scheduling your trial 2-3 months before the wedding. By this time, your dress, colors, and overall aesthetic are usually finalized, allowing us to design a cohesive look.
What to Wear
Wear a white top or a color similar to your wedding dress with a similar neckline. This helps you visualize the final look much better than wearing a casual t-shirt.
The Importance of Feedback
A trial is a collaborative process. If a curl is too tight, or a lip color is too bold, tell us! We want you to be completely obsessed with your look. Honest feedback ensures your wedding day is perfectly tailored to you.
Wedding Morning Timeline
Budgeting Time
As a general rule, we budget about 45 minutes per service for bridesmaids and mothers, and 1.5 to 2 hours for the bride. We always build in buffer time for touch-ups, dressing, and photos to ensure a seamless flow.
Creating Calm
Eat a solid breakfast, stay hydrated, and curate a relaxing playlist. Wear a button-down shirt or silk robe so you don't have to pull anything over your freshly styled hair and makeup. Let us handle the rest.
Your Bridal Touch-Up Kit
Every Sade Noir bride receives a complimentary luxury touch-up kit to ensure her beauty remains flawless from the first look to the final dance. Here is what is included and how to use it.
Blotting Papers
How to use: Press firmly against the skin (do not wipe) to absorb excess oil before applying any powder. This prevents makeup from looking cakey.
Translucent Powder
How to use: Use the included puff to gently press powder over your T-zone or any areas that become shiny, but only after blotting away oil first.
Custom Lip Color
How to use: A sample of your chosen lip color and an applicator to reapply after eating, drinking, or kissing.
Lash Glue
How to use: If a corner lifts from happy tears, dab a tiny amount on the band, wait 30 seconds for it to get tacky, and gently press back into place.
Hair Pins & Ties
How to use: Extra secure hold for any pieces that might come loose during an energetic reception dance or windy outdoor photos.
Mints & Tissues
How to use: For fresh breath before the first kiss, and for gently dabbing away happy tears without ruining your flawless makeup.
